If hiring an herbicide contractor, it is recommended that you verify that the company you are hiring is still licensed in the category that matches the habitat where they will be providing herbicide services. It is illegal for a company that does not hold a valid Pesticide Applicator Business license from the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) in the habitat they are treating in, to apply herbicide on your property. For advice on handling herbicide applications on your own, or to find out about herbicide equipment rentals, contact NCCISMA.
