Programs

Be Aware
Find out how NCCISMA can help you! We have programs available to you as a private landowner to offset cost.

Learn why we should worry about invasive species, how to identify the key species of concern in our region, and small things we can all do to help avoid spreading them.

Take Action
Become part of the solution. We are always looking for individuals and organizations concerned with invasive species in the region to partner with.

Resources
NCCISMA provides a number of resources to address invasive species, from outreach materials for organizations to treatment guidelines for homeowners. Check out the invasive species tools we have for rent through our partnering conservation districts.

IS Inventory
To aid our partners in avoiding the spread of invasive species, we provide maps by county depicting known high priority invasive species (IS) infestations.

An invasive species is an organism that is not native and has negative impacts on the economy, environment, or human health.
A CISMA (Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area) is a partnership of local organizations, agencies, and businesses concerned with invasive species in their region. They share resources and expertise to effectively manage invasive plants, animals, insects, and tree diseases.
